Welcome to another exciting season of High School Volleyball. Sir John Franklin High School and St. Patrick High School are pleased to invite you to our community for our annual Senior High School Volleyball tournament.
Please read the tournament details carefully and fill in the online registration form by noon on Wednesday, October 16th. Teams who register after this time will not be entered into the tournament. Teams who drop out after the registration deadline risk future participation in Spike it Tournaments.
Our tournament play will begin at 8:00 am on Friday, November 1st. All teams are expected to be in town and ready to play on Friday morning. All six courts will be in full swing for the entire day. The final games are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, November 3rd.
We will offer 4 age categories.
Please see the information in the Rules Tab on the Spike it Website if you are trying to determine the category that your athlete should be in.
If you have special cases, they must be approved by the tournament committee prior noon on October 16th.
All fees are due prior to the start of the tournament.
Registration fee - $200 per team
Accommodation fee - $25.00 per room/per night
Damage Deposit - $300 per room
Our goal is to provide all teams with a minimum of 5 games throughout the weekend. This year we will be adding 3rd place and consolation games for many categories with the hope of having teams playing their final game of the tournament against a team of similar strength.
Depending upon the number of teams in your age category, only the top three teams from each pool will advance to the Tier One banner playoffs. The remaining teams will have a chance to win the Tier Two banner.
On the registration form, you will be asked to identify the strength of your team this year. This will help us to assign teams for initial pool play. We may have a power pool in certain categories depending upon the responses from our coaches regarding the quality of their teams.
Our city is blessed with many hotels which provide excellent accommodations for our visitors. If you would like your teams to stay at the school during the tournament weekend, we will be providing classrooms at Sir John and St. Pat's on a first come, first serve basis. Room rental is $25 per room/per night. A $300 damage deposit for every room is also required before the tournament begins.
